Irish Red

Style: Scottish and Irish Ale

OG = 1.050 FG = 1.012

IBU = 60.8 SRM = 16.7

ABV = 5.00%

Very popular and hard to keep on tap. Light enough to enjoy on a summer day. In the winter the recipe is adjusted to push the ABV to 7.00%. Still working on this recipe. The goal is to have a standard Red for easy drinking and an Imperial Red with a larger hop profile.

Bourbon Barrel Porter

Style: Porter

OG = 1.082 FG = 1.012

IBU = 53.5 SRM = 41.8

ABV = 9.29% + 16oz Bourbon

A very bold and oaky beer. Fortified with a baconized bourbon which also gives it a smokey flavor. This is a very complex beer and is best enjoyed in a Scotch Ale Glass. This is also a very popular beer that is hard to keep in stock.

Holden A Home Brew – Whole Flavor IPA

Style: Indian Pale Ale

OG = 1.042 FG = 1.012

IBU = 92.6 SRM = 6.5

ABV = 3.94%

A very delicious IPA. This one still needs work to bring the ABV level up (better mash efficiency). Don’t be fooled; there is a large enough lupulin contributed from the hops to still give this ale a kick despite the low ABV.

Vanilla Creme Ale

Style: American Light Ale

OG = 1.030 FG = 1.004

IBU = 27.6 SRM = 4.6

ABV = 3.40%

Very much a session beer that is easily enjoyed on a nice summer day. Nice hint of double-strength vanilla. A great starter beer for those that do not think that they like micro-brews.

OG = 1.052 FG = 1.012

IBU = 43.4 SRM = 8.8

Smooth and easy to drink on a warm summer day. Hints of brown sugar taste. Medium in color with a creamy head.

Mirror Pond (Clone)

Style: American Pale Ale

OG = 1.052 FG = 1.013

IBU = 40 SRM = 10

ABV = 5.00%

We are huge Mirror Pond fans so it has been a goal to nail this one. Open a bottle and judge for yourself. Very difficult to keep on tap.

Holden A Home Brew – A Pale Ale

Style: American Pale Ale

OG = 1.042 FG = 1.006

Made from fresh hops while in season. Lighter hoppiness than a typical Pale Ale with a creamy finish. Very easy to drink.

Marie’s Beer

Style: Braggot/Mead

OG = Unknown FG = Unknown

IBU = Unknown SRM = Unknown

ABV = Unknown

A friend convinced me to do my first fruit beer. I sat on this idea for several months before taking inspiration from Dog Fish Head and made this extreme beer. This has only been made once about three years ago. My friend still has a few bottles and it has aged well. The recipe is intact but the profile numbers are not. This was a very high ABV beer yet was very light and tasty. Planning to make another batch very soon.

Holden A Home Brew – A Holiday Cider

Style: Cider

OG = Unknown FG = Unknown

IBU = Unknown SRM = Unknown

ABV = Unknown

What do you do when you have a couple of apple trees. Well if you are a brewer you make cider. Made one batch last year and wrote the recipe but did not really track the numbers. This is a fairly dry cider. Tastes good however will most likely be tweaked on the next batch.

Very bold and creamy like a good root beer should be. Complex profile with hints of vanilla, nutmeg, caramel.
